Hockey 5's Programme (July School Holidays)
After a very successful launch of this programme in the April School Holidays, we will run this programme again in the July School Holidays.
YOU CAN ENTER AS TEAMS (email me and let me know who is in your team) or as INDIVIDUALS AND WE WILL PUT YOU IN A TEAM.

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR YEAR 7 & 8'S TO GET READY FOR AIMS GAMES!
We will host a variety of programmes to cater for our various year groups, being held on different days to create options to be involved in one or more days:
- Year 5 - 6
- Year 7 - 8
- Year 9 - 10
The Festival will run in a simple format of one game on and one game off; with the last games of the day being possible 'finals'.

Hockey 5's is a new and exciting format with pathways to World Cups. It is an opportunity to get a taste for the game and develop your all round hockey ability in a fast and exciting new format. It is short and fast variant of field hockey which will reap benefits. The 5's will run as an all day programme with 30 minute games; one game on, one game off.
This programme is open to all those in year 7-8 and Year 9-10 to take part in a holiday programme before the various tournaments in October.
Pathways
Please note that the Year 5 - 6's and the Year 7 - 8's will have an opportunity to put these skills to the test in a Tauranga, Waikato and Bay of Plenty teams at a Festival in October.
The Year 9 - 10's have the U16 will have a Northern Region 5-aside tournament in October.
Also to note, that Hockey New Zealand now sends teams to the World Championships so this will be a strong area of development in years to come.
